How 150,000 Trees’ Worth of Carbon Reduction is Transforming VDTG’s Operations
Van Duc Tien Giang (VDTG) has taken a significant step toward sustainability with the completion of our 3.054 MWp rooftop solar installation at our food export facility in Tien Giang Province, Vietnam. Officially launched on April 15, 2025, this renewable energy project represents our commitment to responsible production practices while ensuring operational stability.
Environmental Impact That Matters
Our new solar installation will prevent approximately 3,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually—equivalent to what 150,000 trees absorb in a year. By generating 4,000-5,000 MWh of clean energy annually, we’re reducing our dependence on conventional power sources by 10-15%.
Partnering for Progress
This achievement was made possible through our collaboration with SNTEK, supported by cutting-edge technologies from SolarEdge and Risen Energy. These partnerships have enabled us to implement a solution that aligns with global sustainability standards while addressing our specific operational needs.
Beyond Environmental Benefits
The solar installation does more than reduce our carbon footprint—it provides critical protection against power fluctuations that could compromise our food processing systems. For our partners who depend on consistent, high-quality production, this additional layer of operational security means greater reliability and fewer disruptions.
Advancing Toward Net Zero
This solar project represents a cornerstone in our long-term sustainability roadmap. As we work toward our net zero ambitions, we’re demonstrating our commitment to both environmental stewardship and business excellence. Our customers can take pride in partnering with a company that prioritizes sustainable practices without compromising on quality or reliability.
By investing in renewable energy today, VDTG is securing a more sustainable and resilient future for our company, our partners, and our planet.
Van Duc Tien Giang Factory always puts social responsibility, especially environmental protection, in priority. Aiming for green transformation, the enterprise identifies solar power as one of the important solutions, helping to reduce CO2 emissions, save energy costs, and improve sustainability in production.
